Today NY had its collection drive for the school pocket money fund. At first I thought it's going to be very exhausting and tough to collect old newspapers and clothes, but in the end, I didn't even perspire. Most of the families either didn't open the doors (whether they are at home or not), or they told us they had sold the papers a few days ago. We didn't collect a lot. And there's a elderly garung-guni couple who went to Blk 2 to collect the papers before we did, so we didn't have to do that block... Well, they need a living too. Besides, I think most people would rather sell their papers to them than to give to us. Many would probably think we're trying to promote some stuff so they refused to open the door, even though we heard loud music from the corridor. Well...... Can't be helped. It's become a common trait in many people nowadays =( Anyway, Mrs Leong wanted to treat us to drinks but we refused. We were all so surprised! Overall, today was quite enjoyable, though the collection outcome wasn't very fruitful. I'm sure we had fun laughing at certain jokes (like YS looking like the hush puppy soft toy.. wahaha!!) =)

When I finished the activity, neither Mabel nor Stella picked up my calls. I suspected they were not at home, but I still went home anyway. Indeed, no one's at home, and I waited downstairs for them for 30 minutes. Actually I wanted to call Laurence, but... erm... in the end didn't call him =p Anyway, I didn't mind waiting downstairs, since I'm quite a patient person ;-) Except that those flies kept irritating me =(

rhapsody in blue.
