Oh no.... Now the more I think about my prom dress, the more I'm regretting my purchase... Why?

1. Almost everyone who knew I got a dark purple dress exclaimed in surprise, shock or horror. I don't know which. Some common responses: "Dark purple is such a matured colour! It'll make you look older!" "Dark purple is so difficult to match (the accessories)!" "You mean your dress got sequins?!"..... etc.

2. I actually have no choice but to agree with those comments coz' they are indeed true. Why didn't I think of these downsides when I bought the dress?

Take it that I'm consoling myself (or deceiving myself) when I say that the only good thing about the dress is probably that no one will wear the same dress as me. Or even the same colour coz' most people usually turn up in black (the classic and universal colour) or pastel colours. But still.... *sigh* Maybe I should just get my cousins to go with me next time... Maybe mum and I are of different generation, so have different thinking at times... She keeps assuring me that I look great in the dress but I'm really afraid I have to hypnotise myself now to believe that... And one of my major problems now is finding the right accessories to match. I really really cannot find... The earrings are either too long, too flashy, or of the wrong colour. When I finally find a nice pair that I like, I can't find a matching necklace. What the hell.... I'm really sick and tired of shopping... After this, no more shopping until February, I swear.
