WTH. Internet speed majorly slowed due to earthquake @ Southern Taiwan and the undersea cables were damaged or something. It *just* has to happen during CORS... And the stupid CORS. To the hell with it. Pardon me but I'm just majorly pissed today. It matters not whether I get the pre-allocated modules or not. But why isn't the system allowing me to add modules for bidding. Please. Don't make me go crazy and smash my computer, NUS. There really is a limit and it just doesn't do any good by doing this to me, especially since almost everyone knows how much I HATE CORS. And I just hate it more now. Thanks man. But anyway, I just hope the earthquake's not too bad and the casualties aren't high.....
Anyway. Went to watch The Holiday with PY today @ Shaw Lido. I have my share of bad experiences this holiday. First there was the DragonGate, now this. Was majorly pissed in the beginning coz' of a hoo-ha that occurred over the cinema seats. When we went in, we realised our seats were taken up, so I thought those people sitting on our seats (which were the innermost 2 seats) were supposedly to be on the aisle seats. Naturally we sat on the empty aisle seats with that assumption. Then a few minutes into the movie, a couple came in and the guy told us we were sitting on their seats. Then the whole row of us realised that there was something wrong and the innermost guy asked all of us to flash our tickets. There was no problem with our tickets. There were just 2 sets of seat numbers 1 & 2 for the same row. Who knows why until I figured it out much later. Anyway I was embarrassed coz' it was in the middle of the show and we were disturbing others. Needless to say, I was also pissed at being disturbed though we were indeed on the wrong seats. But that was coz' our rightful seats were taken. I guess next time we should just go confront the people who are sitting on our seats instead of just assuming. And if it doesn't solve things, we should go out and look for the ushers or whoever that can help. In the end that guy asked us to shift to 2 empty innermost seats in the row in front. He really could have been more polite, since we did show that we didn't sit on their seats deliberately. But we gave way to him anyway coz' I don't want to disturb others anymore and I just wish all these would end and I can continue watching the movie. But need I say, I was totally left with no mood for the movie at all. The next few tens of minutes were spent fuming over the incident and though my eyes were glued on the screen, I didn't know what happened in the movie. Perhaps I do have a temper. I hate to be disturbed in the middle of something. After that I found out why all these incidents happened. The ticket counter sold us the wrong tickets. Well done! I will never go back to Lido I swear. I don't pay money to give myself a second chance to bad experiences. We said 3.50pm slot, she sold us 1.10pm slot. No wonder there were 2 sets of tickets with the same seats! I can't tell you better how ruined my mood is today.
And it just makes things worse that my face is taking a turn for the worse AGAIN. Ok I swear. No more night shifts. Really. Anyway this Sunday is my last day. That's it. Let me recover fully now please... Sometimes I just feel so sick and tired. Never mind.
Well I guess I should try to elevate my mood. At least after the movie it wasn't that bad. Shopped around for a while. Even bought Aften a present. Finally. I owe him his birthday and Xmas presents. Though I thought angbao would be more practical lah. But never mind. I am fascinated with the present myself =p The second time @ Borders, the first thing I bought @ Borders, it was for Aften. And I only have 1 conclusion to make: Borders is expensive.
Perhaps I should go watch My Boss My Hero now. Nagase Tomoya, I hope you can make me laugh and throw away my lousy mood.
rhapsody in blue.
