semester 2....

Oh my.... I just checked my modules schedules on IVLE. 2007 is going to be a hectic year =( Semester 1 was like crazy, and yet compared to semester 2, it's already considered slack.

I was totally shocked to see that Japanese LANGUAGE has projects. WTH...?? Don't know what photo essay contest lah. Ehh.... Doushite??! Iyadayo...... ='( The course format also has some new additions/changes, which makes life worse off for me. Arghz... But well, which subject doesn't get harder as we progress up. This is life. =(

Japanese Studies. I'm still wondering if I made the right choice. Suddenly it dawned on me that this might be another essay writing module. I can't tell you enough how much I hate to write essays. Though essays were the exact things that saved my History and Chinese last semester. Still... To think I vowed NEVER to take Asian Studies again, and here I am, taking Japanese Studies. There are also projects argh. Why on earth is Philosophy so popular that the bids are so high every semester. Never thought that there are many people like me around who likes to get phD (permanent head damage) by thinking about abstract issues.

Social Work. No comments. I'm just taking this to fulfil my exposure modules requirements for the Social Sciences division. Period.

Statistics for Psychology. There are 1-2 written assignments. Yikes. And it is well known in the family and among my friends that my Maths sucks. Since primary 3. Going all the way downhill and have not picked up ever since. Kinda worried for this module. But not as much as those with projects. I think I've thrown my JC Stats notes away accidentally with my worksheets. Shimatta.

Social Psychology. Huiqi's senior said it's easy. At least compared to Bio Psyc. I was quite ok when I read through the course contents just now. Until I reached the part on PROJECTS. There will be a group project and we have to write a children's storybook which aims to convey some sort of principle/theory/concept to kids below 10 years old. Just kill me, somebody. Fortunately this is a group work. But the dangers of social loafing lurks. I might be the loafer for all I know. After the project, we got to submit 2 assignments. Individual work... One is a book review on one of the stories presented by other groups. Another one I forgot; rather, I have no idea what the other assignment wants.

Did I make the right choice, I wonder. But it's all too late. Forget it lah. Just really gotta pia and mug hard. Time to slog my guts out.

Oh yes, before that. I need to do something. Throw semester 1's notes out of my house. My house is overflowing with notes from O's onwards -_- Don't think I will have use for Chinese Studies and South Asian Studies notes anymore. So off they go. My worst 2 subjects -_- Ironically so, for Chinese. But I know. My Chinese must have really deteriorate since I graduated from NY.

2 more days to the slogging semester.

Ima wa, mae e susume.
