And so, the actual day has come (and gone, by this time that I'm penning it down). It's supposed to be dated 2 Apr 2008 hahah. The MystiqS girls segregated the celebration into parts, so I shall extend from there (adding part zero in myself haha).

Part zero:
Chiong-ed to meet PY @ library bus stop juz b4 she rushed for her class at the so-far-away Science fac. So nice of her to ask to meet up just to pass me my prez on my bday =) Thx PY for the thots and prez!! Your prez was actually what I lost a couple of months ago... If you rmb the Escada mini bottle tt I bought with you @ JEC tt shop. So sad... But haha so qiao, you got me sth tt I lost, though not the same thing =) Not bad, our 默契 hehe... 9 yrs of friendship!!


Part zero beta:
Poor Gloria who had to pon both lectures tt day to rush her essay, appeared after I/O lect with a slice of cake and a candle tt refused to stick in the cake hahaha. Thx girl =)

Went out only to see pw, tuan, and erm, sth red on the table (nvm, I've got past experience frm sun, I pretended I didn't see and went toilet. I know you all were damn happy when I said tt). Ate glor's cake but all of a sudden there's a foreign object in front of me, descending down towards my neck in front of my eyes....!!! And unfortunately, into my cake as it tried to secure itself around my neck... via dear mindy tuan's hands. LOL~ Frantic wiping by yh & tuan, and they learnt their lesson, 2nd time they asked me to close my eyes and stop eating the cake hahaha. And lo n behold! It's a handmade necklace!! Frm erm guess wat! Tadaa!! Metal wires!! Omg even my mum is marvelled by the workmanship ;) And the pretty little heart & flower pendents tuan made after tt =) I'm amazed at your skills! So this was what you were doing outside our LT after you ended class early.. All coz' I said I got no necklace =p So sweet of you omg!


Part 1: dinner
I ran the risk of being blindfolded and taken to the dinner place, but well heng they didn't in the end. Guess they don't want to end up suffering haha... This canadian restaurant Blooie's at dunno where.. somewhere in pasir panjang? hahaha... It's quite nice , with lit candles on the outdoor tables, and a pond outside. I like the woody feel =) For a moment I really thought they were bringing me to the french cafe @ vivo coz' we took bus 10, and I mentioned b4 tt the waiters are cute and gd-looking haha. Quite paiseh though, coz' we like quite noisy (though we're the only table in e restaurant). Think the staff can't stand us hahaha =p

Prezzie time! But juz b4 they passed me my prez they realised some erm, defects haha. So I had to turn over while they fixed it. And I'm forever so slow to the extent tt I turned over and still didnt see the elmo & canvas board in front of me (like 30cm away, propped against chilli sauce bottles). Instead i saw the bear-bear envelope BEHIND e bottles! Omg. But the hand-made plasticine super-M-elmo, guardian angel, and the bday board were so nicely made, I can feel a whole load of effort and love in them =) Omg and it's ELMO. Hahahah XD


Part 2: bday cake!
hq & yh 'had to' go toilet and left pw n tuan to entertain me (supposedly). Halfway thru seeing e photos on hq's cam, I heard "HEH-" twice frm behind me. Ok.... Was tt supposed to be a bday song? Haha and so I pretended (again) with whatever I was doing, so tt they can pull their stunt off successfully haha. When "happy bday to you...." sounded in the air, obviously I turned. BUT!! I DIDN'T EXPECT TO SEE A BDAY CAKE WITH A STICK OF BURNING FIRE SPARKLER ON IT!! Erm seriously, who in the world wld do tt haha... But well we ended up having to scrape off the top layer of cream and wipe the fruits with serviette b4 eating =p And yeah I wonder why the candle burned so slowly. We took so many photos for like dunno how many minutes and it's still not even half-burned!


part 3: hide & seek @ west coast park
I saw a phenomenon that I NEVER got to see b4... Upon alighting frm the bus, I saw hq & yh walk like, the fastest in their life (even faster than when late for tut or when jaywalking) n eventually disappearing frm my sight. Ehh, can use half of this speed normally? Hahahaha~ When tuan & I reached WCP, hq sms-ed me "part 3: ur task is to find us & the prez". Thx ah, this is like my 2nd time at WCP & I dunno the place at all -_-

tuan: "We walk straight lor, since we can see both left & rite sides if we walk straight." Haha ok makes sense. I demanded for clues which was a not-very-helpful one tt said "triangle"... -_- Ehhh triangles are everywhere lah... But I felt tt tuan will eventually try to lead me there lah haha. Coz' they seriously can't risk asking me to look for the place myself and have everyone cabbing home at like, 2am? Lol~ In the end tuan did lead me there but I didn't realise. In fact, when I passed tuan's hp to her, hq's sms happened to come in & I saw the summary "ok we're done...." Haha not on deliberate. It's your timing too zhun liao hq. 2nd clue was a triangle with sparkles. And so we walked and reached this pyramid-like rope-climbing structure. I can't believe how blind I was, I didnt see the sparkles until tuan asked do I see it, and I was still "huh what". Den I saw got sparklers somewhere in the middle of the structure and pw was sitting up there haha. Sorry lah, really not at my eye level lol~

I stepped on sth on the sand. Sth small & round & there were many of them. I even used my foot to play ard with it to see wat it was haha. For 1 sec b4 moving on. Coz I realised (or rather frm 6th sense) those were candles. Nvm I pretended again haha. A call frm hq made my jaws dropped. To complete my task I had to climb up to where pw was to get the prez. Imagine my rxn as my brain processed tt line. Yeah I started protesting over e phone but to no avail :( HELLO!! I GOT PHOBIA FOR HEIGHTS LEH!! These devils!! *sobs* tuan & pw tried to help me coz' it's obviously my 1st time touching this thingy. Omg how to climb... to get up on the 1st level was a challenge alr coz' it's abit high. Den they psycho-ed me 2nd level... "CANNOT....!!! I CANNOT...!!!"

I got stuck at 1st level for dunno how long. After eons I finally managed to get up to 2nd level with their guidance & my little courage *sobs* Trial & error along the way. While I was struggling to climb up there, I see the 罪魁祸首 down there lighting the candles (tt i stepped on) -_- ok ya I pretended I nv see (again). At tt pt my life is more impt than the candles haha. At least these ppl got 人性 haha and agreed to let me stop at 2nd level, and pw will bring the prez down to me haha =p I tink I really can't go 1 more level up... I saw the height I was alr "OMG. NO." Next challenge: how to adjust myself so tt I can sit down on the rope behind me and open my prez. Poor them, they had to sit ard me to give me assurance tt I wun fall thru the ropes haha.


Part 4: prez part 2!
Very huggable elmo plushie + pw's handmade card (whose design was erm commented on by somebody [not me]) with 7仔 attached + mondo flats!! OMG didn't expect at all lol~ Coz' they alr gave me prez over dinner. Didn't expect them to get the shoes that I've been contemplating for months. YESH I can finally throw away that frictionless pair of black flats I had been wearing haha.


Part 5: coming down the pyramid
Not easy. Up & down, both are hard. BUT!! I TOOK A STEP OUT & TRIED!! Despite my phobia =) I tink it'll be so nice to lie on the roped net at the middle of the pyramid and enjoy what the nite skies have to offer. But erm. You all wait lah. The day you see me up there... it's prob your illusion WAHAHAHA. Ok ok I'll make that my long-term goal k?


Part 6: candle-blowing
The rubbish competition of who has the longest breath tt can extinguish the farthest candle flame *faint* But well by the time I came down frm the pyramid, the candles (which said ":) 21 Mingsi *heart*") were already 1/3 extinguished by themselves.


Part 7: candle-lit sparkling joy =)
SPARKLERS!! Sorry lah I really no childhood. Nv play sparklers & poppers b4 haha. So sad... But it's nv too late! Gd tt the candles were still ard so we didnt have to keep lighting the sparklers. Ok finally sth within my expectation haha. Coz' everyone knows tt I nv play b4. hq even asked me what I want to do though tt was way b4 my bday. But i anticipated it lah hahaha =p I was very scared of those sparks since young (how come I got so many phobia?) but actually realised it doesn't burn haha. nxt time we play poppers k? hahaha


Part 8: the all-time favourite
Guess wat. Yesh, bridge. Hahaha. We played at the playground =p 2 games b4 we had to leave coz' it was alr 11.35pm ='( Coz' we spent quite some time trying to clear up our candles mess hahaha. Had to extinguish the candles and wait for the wax to harden and cool b4 we can pick up and throw. In the darkness of the nite when we were at a part of the park with little lightings haha...


Undoubtedly you girls made my day!! =) Hahaha dunno what to say, dunno how to say... But it's all thanks, gratitude, love, hugs, warmth, touchness.... No amount of thanks can express my feelings enough for making my 21st bday so special and different from my previous bdays. And yes I'm glad and abit proud of myself that I took a step out and climbed that pyramid!! Haha I'll try level 3 nxt time! ;) It wouldn't have been possible w/o you all, and actually it's quite fun =) Love you all loads!! *hugs* Allow me to say MYSTIQS RULES hahahhaa!!
