Tony Leung + Takeshi Kaneshiro. What could be better than having both my favs in the same movie. LOL~

Red Cliff may seem to be a film heavily based on history, but I think no worries if you don't have any or much history background b4 watching it. It's quite easily understood :) Though I've heard of ppl who know the real history quite well and they thought the movie sucked coz' it didn't adhere to the history. But well... I still think it's worth catching.

The entire movie was 紧凑但不仓促, so you won't feel as if the whole movie was too rushed or what. Battle scenes were magnificent, and haha I guess it's quite funny at some parts too, even on the battlefield. Great cast too, 阵容蛮强大. Tony Leung & Takeshi Kaneshiro seem to be the 'comic relief' in the movie hahahah. Coz' they were the 2 who made most of the jokes, and well, yes, they are cute XD Esp Takeshi omg. The whole time I was constantly being zapped by his mesmerizing eyes coz' every scene of him I was looking at his eyes wahahahah!! That's what happens when his eyes are too pretty to resist =x Tony's eyes looked abit 逊色 next to him haha. Coz' of age =p

Many critics have commented strongly that Tony Leung and Takeshi Kaneshiro should exchange roles and it was seen as a mistake in setting the roles for them. Hmm.. I thought they should exchange too, initially. Tony has the intellectual look, and well, given his build, he certainly doesn't possess the impressiveness of a general. Like 不够大将之风.. I find his battle scene (he only had one in the film) not as impressive and smooth. Other characters' battle scenes you can really feel the fluidity of the moves and impressiveness. The only smooth and more shiok move he had was the one when he flipped in the air and struck the arrow into the enemy's back (ok abit gory I know..) And well, according to records, Zhou Yu (Tony's role) is quite a handsome man. Tony abit old le haha, though he hmm not very shuai to begin with (BUT not alot of people can surpass him in his charisma!). But fortunately, his overflowing charisma saved it lah, so it wasn't as bad as I thought. I think Takeshi did a good job in depicting Zhuge Liang. His talking eyes have a plus point coz' it gave him an even more intellectual and witty look and feel. That makes me wonder, how would the Zhuge Liang Tony depict be like though he has pretty eyes too... I think it'll be 2 different feel in some aspects.

Anw it's really nice to see everyone again and share the happenings in each other's life :) Though we just met like 3 weeks ago haha =p I guess we'll be having another one soon huh... To commemorate a *ahem* special day hahahaha =p

rhapsody in blue.
