Taiwan: Day nine

Today's itinerary:
White water rafting -> 石梯坪 (Shihtiping) -> 长虹桥 -> Stargazing

Last night was too late to capture any pics, so here's how our minsu looks like :)

A very comfy and simple contemporary design. Just what I want with my house :) To make it better, we received a well-balanced breakfast made by 黎老板. We were all gaga over the meal coz' we all dunno how to cook and were seriously impressed by those despite them being simple (but delicious).

小黄!XD

吴叔叔 (though we really don't call him that), who was our driver yesterday and also, surprisingly, one of our lifeguards with our WWR company.

No pics for the WWR part, but here's after :)

The couple who braved the currents with us :) Ok, actually not much currents to speak of at this time of the year for a thrilling rafting experience.

Our 便当 which we had no time eat at the rafting site. We were surprised the package came with lunch!

On to Shihtiping! The place is very scenic and nice, but it's a real pity none of our pics did it justice.

Exploring, exploring, exploring... the huge massive rocky areas.

Mickey was here =)

Album cover...?

On our way back we passed by Changhong bridge, which was further down the end point of our rafting earlier on.

The stream where we lost an oar (and I subsequently didn't have to row anymore), and YH & fang 落水.

B4 dinner activity: 捡木柴 for tonight's campfire.

The minsu has a very big and nice private beach! Pacific ocean just behind the house leh, OMG!

Goofing around, as usual.

Then the allies decided to have a face off...

... Which Cheryl lost.

Nvm, we are a happy family still :)

And 老板 took some stuffs from the beach to deco the house.

小黑 & 小黄!! *hearts*

Then somehow sparked off by a random topic from one of us, 老板 was asked to guess our ages. And this is how he ranked us in ascending order from right to left.

When the actual sequence is this.

Now you know why some of us looked pissed in the previous pic haha.

Finally, campfire time!!

But it was pitch dark (like literally), not even our torches were of much use. Fortunately we had 2 torches which were more powerful, including the one that xiaoli brought.

Following pics courtesy of Cheryl's super powerful flash lol.

芳!! 别想不开!! (haha we all learned to be scared she angry until she cycle off the cliff, or similar)

A pity we couldn't capture the night sky, coz' the starry sky is really SOMETHING! It's so awesome that you'd think the sky is artificial. Like seriously, how can there be so many stars and so bright?! And guess what. There were SHOOTING STARS!! Not 1, but quite a few! We spotted about 5 in 1 hour but not everyone managed to catch every single one. It's actually not like what the media always depict it, but it's real alright :) Xiaoli taught us how to identify a few types of stars and constellations. Everything seemed timeless under the skies then and there.

We all returned with beach pebbles sticking to our posteriors, drunk (jk), and awed by the night sky :)
